From Winter to Summer????

So the weather here in Dover has been crazy. We went straight from winter to summer with no spring. This past week the tempature has been in the mid 80's. Crazy!! I will say I am enjoying it though. 2 hands and 2 kids make for plenty of work, but it is so fun! Elias is such a joy, always a smile on his face...and I love it that Aeraci has started wanting hugs all the time. There is nothing better than when your 2 year old comes up and says "huggie" with her arms open wide. Aaron and I have started training for a triatholon and went for a 10 mile bike ride around Dover on Tuesday. We put the kids in the bike trailer and pulled them all around, they LOVED it. Aaron lets Aeraci keep his MP3 player so she has her music for the ride!

The picture of Aeraci is her outfit for the "royal wedding". We caught the end of it on tv and she went and got her hat and Elias's clip on tie and said she was ready to go to Amy and Gorges wedding (friends of ours that were married last month) It was so adorable!!!

Easter

So after 2 1/2 years in Delaware, I finally celebrated my first Easter in Dover!!! I was also able to attend our church theatrical production of "The Choice", the story of Easter. It was wonderful!! I was reminded again of all Christ did for me as he was cruicifed on the cross.

In addition to attending the production, the kids hunted Easter eggs in the front yard. Aeraci loves to hunt, and Elias mainly liked mom carring him around:) After church, we came home and had the typical Easter feast of ham and trimmings with Breanne who came down for the day.

Busy Life

So life has been a little hectic as of late. Aeraci is getting brighter by the minute, and the wheels in Elias' head are turning as he's finding out he can do more and more. I became a Pampered Chef consultant last month and am loving it. I wanted to earn some extra money to send Aeraci to preschool at our church this fall. I have only 3 weeks on the job and so far I'm loving it! I have already made a quarter of the first half of her tuition. It is so nice to get out of the house a couple nights a week, make money...and have fun doing it. Aeraci is talking all the time, in fact she will talk your ear off. She has finally mastered colors, and Aunt Bre is teaching her how to speak Korean. Elias is sitting up and rolling over, but is not interested in pushing himself up or crawling, so we have an appointment for physical therapy. Aaron is still working 12 hour shifts, 4 days a week. Right now he is in the process of planting the garden on his days off. We are looking forward to having fresh produce all summer!

Life as of Now

Aeraci having fun with daddy at swimming lessons...and Elias all smiles after a swim in the tub:)

Life is quite the ride. We are happy to say that we have all surrvived potty training:) To celebrate this MOMENTOUS occasion, we spent an evening at Aeraci's favorite place...Chuck-E-Cheese. She had a great time! Aeraci is turing into quite the little helper. She always wants to help mommy, wheather it's dishes, taking out the garbage, laundry, whatever...we'll see how long this lasts:) She talks all the time and amazes me how she is growing up and has an opinion of her own.
Elias is quite the charmer. He smiles all the time, although he has had a difficult winter with numerous battles with respitory infections and virus'. He has successfully mastered rolling over, sitting up unassisted, and using a sippy cup. My baby boy is nearly 8 months old and it has gone by so fast.

The Busyness of Life

Grandma, Grandpa and Great-Grandma visit over Thanksgiving. One of our many sight seeing adventures..the Statue of Liberty
Nanna Emma and Papa with Elias over their Christmas/New Years visit

Aeraci flying high in "daddy's airplane!)

Elias all smiles

I don't keep this blog up to date as much as I'd like....my excuse, a very busy 2 1/2 year old and and 6 1/2 meonth old. Aeraci is still in my favorite stage thus far...pottytraining:( Note the sarcasm). We have had ups and downs with it, but all the way around I feel like it will never end! Elias is getting big...literally! At his 6 month checkup, he was 19lbs, that's the size Aeraci was at a year! He just started rolling over last week, and he is cooing, cawing, and experimenting with baby food.

I try and keep my sanity most days, but am enjoying being a mom and loving my two wonderful children. Theese past couple of months have been a whirl with family visiting us over the holidays.

It's been a while!

Grandma with Elias Aeraci with Papa and Nana Emma
Amy K with Elias and Me

Audrie, Moriah, Aeraci and Me

A lot has happened since my last post. Elias tested his wings for the first time as he joined Aeraci and mommy on his first trip to Washington. We flew out the beginning of September to pick up Nanna and help her drive back. Nanna ended up staying in Washington, so we flew home at the end of the month, but not before we had some fun!

While home, Elias met his grandma and grandpa, papa, nanna Emma, aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends. Our first stop was Seattle, where we met Audrie, Ryan and Moriah. We had a great time with them, and Moriah and Aeraci had lots of fun playing together. While there, we were able to see our good friend AmyK while we did some shopping:)

During the rest of our trip, we saw numerous friends and family. Aeraci had a good time playing with her cousin Austin. They got along great and are very protective of their respective siblings. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled us and Papa and Nanna Emma came up from Oregon to see the kids. We made several trips to Spokane and were able to visit Uncle Lloyd, Aunt Janet and meet Marks new baby Cole.

I was exhausted by the end of the trip, as traveling with a 2 year old and a 2 month old for over 14 hours in airports and on airplanes! We slept for the better part of 2 days afterwards!
