Life on the GO

Life has been very busy as of late, so I have not taken the time to blog. Aeraci is walking all over the house and talking more. Some of her new words are "hi", "ice", "truck" and one word she picked up "somewhere" that we're hoping she'll soon forget "s..t"!

Aaron is doing well, one month into deployment. I'm crazy busy with work, biblestudies and our newest venture swimming lessons with Aeraci. We joined the YMCA a couple weeks ago and aside from pumping iron and lot's of cardio, Aeraci and I are started a mommy and me swimming class once a week. She loves splashing and clapping in the water, and it's great to experience that with her.

As for my pregnancy, it's going great. We're nearly 18 weeks into it and the baby is starting to move frequently:) Almost half-way there!

Aeraci's going everywhere now!

Since Aeraci has started walking, she is going everywhere now! This past couple weeks she has really progressed in many things. She can now fully feed herself with a spoon, she is talking much more, not to mention walking everywhere:) Aeraci has even started the beginning stages of potty training!!! When she goes potty in her diaper, or when you change her she'll say "Yuck", and right before she goes she'll say "uh oh". Our little girl is growing us so fast.

I started teaching this week. Although I enjoy being back in the classroom, I miss Aeraci. I'm only on day 2, but so far everything is going good.

AERACI'S WALKING!!!!!

Check out the video of Aeraci and her new skill.........walking! At 17 1/2 months she has finally began walking. She is having lots of fun roaming around the house on two legs. We are so proud of her!!!

Winter Storm 09

As many of you heard, we got hit with a big snow storm this past weekend. 21" of snow!!!!! Needless to say it will be a white Christmas. It was nice being stuck in the house for a few days, and schools were cancelled today so no work:) Aeraci loved the snow!!! She had fun playing until she took her mittens off and her hands got cold! The snow suit she is wearing was my snow suit when I was a baby, it fits her perfectly!

Life has not been dull at the Owens home! So much has happened this last month. We found out we are expecting another baby on July 1:), so our life is about to get crazier in 7 more months. We also found just a few days ago that Aaron will be deploying on Monday for 4 months so we are moving Christmas to tomorrow! And to throw more crazy into the mix, I was offered a full time teaching position at the local high school. I am looking forward to getting back in the high school and thank God for this opportunity. I'm not sure when I will start, but probably after Christmas break.

Aeraci is getting so big!! She has started eating with a spoon and fork and is talking more every day. Some of her new words include "baby", "thank you", and she has started signing "more" and "please". She now tries to put her socks and shoes on by herself too! It's amazing, watching her grow and learn more everyday.

So as you can see, life in the Owens home is never dull!

On Halloween, in lieu of Trick-or Treating, we took Aeraci to the Harvest Carnival at Church. Aeraci went as a little bumble bee, and a cute one at that. While we were there, we enjoyed cotton candy, carmel apples, and Aeraci even had a pony ride. She loved it! Afterwards, she was ready for bed. We had a great time!
